ABOUT US

We are a three-screen cinema, bar, coffee shop, live performance space, and community hub situated at the heart of Sidcup’s town centre. We are also home to Sidcup Library. Built on the site of a former Blockbuster Video, Sidcup Storyteller comes full-circle, providing a modern cinema space for the local community, as well as a fantastic and welcoming venue where everyone can relax, work, meet and create – all under one roof.

We show a wide range of films throughout the week, including the latest releases in blockbuster and independent film, as well as event cinema and special screenings. If there's something in particular you would like to see on our screens, our staff are always happy to hear suggestions!

We are a brand new venue, as well as Sidcup's first cinema in 23 years, so we want our audience and community to shape us and what we do. If you have an idea or suggestion, please contact us. We are open to anything, from art exhibitions to improv comedy.

We also have several events spaces for hire, including our screens and studio, so if you would like to organise a class, workshop, rehearse, deliver a presentation or celebrate a special occasion we would love to help.

And you can always relax and enjoy a movie with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine!

Opening times

The Café, Box Office and co-working space open at 9.30am every day

Sidcup Library is operated separately to the cinema, more information on the Library opening times and other information can be found here.

The first film screenings will start from around 10AM Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday (as wells as throughout school holidays) and from around 2:30PM Tuesday & Thursday.

The last films will start around 9PM, with last entry and last orders at the Café & Box Office 20 minutes after the last feature starts.

Getting to Sidcup Storyteller

Our address is:

106 High Street, Sidcup, DA14 6DS

We are located on the crossroads of Elm Road and the High Street, near Caffé Nero and Morrisons.

Our two closest Car Parks are Grassington Road (basement), situated under Morrison's car park, and Main Road, both are £3.90 pay and display or £3.70 RingGo for parking up to 4 hours.

Main Road Car Park is free after 6PM everyday.
